Pinterest Try: Dehydrated Pickle Chips

I love pickles... it's not unheard of for me to snack on some dill pickles with yellow mustard on them. My husband's aunt supplies me with homemade bread and butter pickles when we visit (bread and butter pickles are ONLY good homemade). And sweet-heat pickles like Wickles Pickles are a guilty pleasure. So imagine my excitement when I saw Vlasic was coming out with Dill Pickle Chips (which I still have yet to see in stores). Because I'm STILL waiting on these little bits of heavenly goodness, I decided to try making some with my handy dandy food dehydrator. Sadly, what I made with great anticipation turned out to be a complete assault on my tongue. Growing up in the country, I spent plenty of time in horse stables. The only way to describe the flavor is the taste you'd expect from the smell of feral cats and horse manure. Zero stars, do not recommend. But if you'd like to have a go and feed these to your sworn enemies, by all means, have at it (please note, it may or may not be banned by the Geneva Convention).
